Terms & Conditions

Effective date: 1 May 2025

Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before using the Grepsi Security Threat Modelling tool at grepsi-sec.com/threat-model (the “Tool”).

By accessing or using the Tool you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Tool.

1. About the Tool

The Tool is a free, open-source, browser-based application for performing structured security threat analysis. All data you enter is stored locally in your browser and is never transmitted to Grepsi Security or any third party (subject to clause 5 regarding hosting infrastructure).

Contact: info@grepsi-sec.com

2. Licence and Permitted Use

The Tool and its source code are made available under the MIT Licence (see clause 8). You may use, copy, modify, and distribute the Tool in accordance with the MIT Licence.

You agree not to:

  • Use the Tool for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to compromise, disrupt, or attack the hosting infrastructure
  • Represent the Tool or its outputs as certified, audited, or guaranteed threat intelligence

3. No Warranties — Informational Use Only

The Tool and all content on this site are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranty of any kind, express or implied.

This includes, without limitation, no warranty of:

  • Merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose
  • Accuracy, completeness, or currency of threat modelling guidance
  • Freedom from errors, bugs, or interruptions

Threat modelling is a professional discipline. The outputs of this Tool represent a starting point for analysis, not a substitute for qualified security expertise. Do not rely solely on this Tool to assess the security of production systems, critical infrastructure, or regulated environments.

4. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Grepsi Security shall not be liable for any:

  • Direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
  • Loss of data, revenue, profit, or business opportunity
  • Security breaches or incidents arising from reliance on Tool outputs
  • Damages arising from use of exported threat model data

Your use of the Tool and any reliance on its outputs is entirely at your own risk.

5. Data and Privacy

Your threat model data never leaves your browser. Grepsi Security does not collect, store, or process your threat model content.

Our hosting provider Cloudflare, Inc. processes connection metadata (IP address, browser type, request timestamps) in the course of delivering pages. See our Privacy Policy for details.

6. Intellectual Property

The Grepsi Security name, logo, and brand elements are the property of Grepsi Security. The underlying open-source tool is licensed under the MIT Licence.

7. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected in a new effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Tool after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
